Capital One is the new naming rights
partner for the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The arena has been renamed Capital One Arena, with the
full branding shift to take effect this fall.
The United Soccer League has announced that it will return to Austin,
Texas, for the 2019 season. A new soc-cer-specific venue at the Circuit of the
Americas will serve as the club’s new
home. Bobby Epstein, CEO of the Circuit of the Americas, will serve as majority owner of the team.
USL has also announced that Las Ve-
gas will be the third and final USL ex-
pansion franchise to join the league for
the 2018 season. Owned by Las Vegas
resident Brett Lashbrook and his fam-
ily, the new franchise will play at Cash-
Philadelphia will host four of the five
Army-Navy college football games from
2018–2022, with the Meadowlands in
New Jersey claiming the fifth event.
Philadelphia will host the annual event
at Lincoln Financial Field from 2018–

Super Hero Challenge, in
which anyone who attends at
least one day of L.A. Comic
Con and participates in either
the half marathon or 5K will
earn a Super Hero Challenge
Medal in addition to the fin-
isher medal. Other participant perks in-
clude a T-shirt, a gear bag, admission to
the Finish Line Festival and access to the
two-day Health & Fitness Expo.
Both events will take place Oc-
tober 27–29 at the L.A. Conven-
tion Center. The running event is
expected to welcome more than
15,000 participants, who will enjoy
live bands along the course and a
concert at the conclusion.
